Resource Center Tools for Job Seekers and Current Employees
We know that individuals looking for work and current employees who need to upgrade their job skills often face technological barriers. It can be difficult to fill out an online application if you don’t have access to a computer, for example. The Resource Center was designed specifically to provide access to needed resources. Here, you’ll find the following:
- Computers with Internet access available for your use
- Phones to connect with employers or other local resources
- Fax machines, printers, and copiers
In addition to our technological resources, our friendly staff members are here to guide you through the job application and hiring processes. We can assist you with writing your resume and cover letter, for instance. We’ll even conduct mock job interviews so you can practice answering common questions.
These days, many employers prefer to conduct virtual interviews. You’re invited to use our private conference room for your interview. Our conference room is equipped with computers and videoconferencing software. If you’re having trouble using any of our technology, our friendly team is always available to help you. The Resource Center is pleased to routinely host job fairs for local employers in Santa Cruz. If you wish, you can initiate the application process and even conduct job interviews right here in our Resource Center.
